<p>The development of the Arctic regions places increased demands on the reliability of № 1 ( - ) 2026. 49 equipment in conditions of critically lowtemperatures reaching -60°C and below. In such extreme climatic conditions, the standard limitations of serial microelectronics designed for operation up to -40°C pose significant risks of technological failures. The article is devoted to the problem of ensuring reliable operation of electronic measuring devices in conditions of extremely lowtemperatures (up to -60 °C), typical for the Antarctic. The relevance of the study is due to the need to improve the efficiency of drilling operations and drilling rigs, in particular, in the polar regions, where equipment failures canlead to significant temporary and financial losses. A targeted experiment with PIC16F18855 microcontrollers and semiconductor temperature sensors in a refrigerator simulating Antarctic conditions wascarried out. Special attention is paid to the study of the influence of twofactors: pre–cooling of devices to extremely lowtemperatures and the presence of a moisture-proof polymer coating on the overall performance and stability of measurements. The experimental results demonstrated that the studied electronic devices retain their basic functionality even at temperatures below the manufacturer’s stated limit (-40 °C). Based on the data obtained, conclusions are formulated about the importance of further studying the long-term stability (durability) of electronic components during operation in extreme low-temperature conditions. The practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of using the results obtained for the development and operation of electronic equipment in extreme climatic conditions. The study highlights the need for further work to study the long-term stability of electronic components during operation at lowtemperatures.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>низкотемпературные условия</kwd><kwd>измерительные системы</kwd><kwd>датчики температуры</kwd><kwd>Антарктида</kwd><kwd>надёжность</kwd><kwd>микроконтроллер</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>low-temperature conditions</kwd><kwd>measurement systems</kwd><kwd>temperature sensors</kwd><kwd>Antarctica</kwd><kwd>reliability</kwd><kwd>microcontroller</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Serbin D.
