В статье проведен сравнительный анализ особенностей истории создания, структур, функций, юрисдикции и деятельности военной полиции в России и ведущих зарубежных странах. Актуальность данной статьи определяется тем, что освящены проблемы и перспективы формирования данной структуры, предназначенной для укрепления и защиты правопорядка в России. Новизна научного исследования состоит в том, что специального сравнительного исследования эффективности правовой деятельности военной полиции России и зарубежных стран в свете современных событий ранее не проводилось.

The article provides a comparative analysis of the features of the history of the creation, structures, functions, jurisdiction and activities of the military police in Russia and leading foreign countries. The relevance of this article is determined by the fact that the problems and prospects of forming this structure, designed to strengthen and protect the rule of law in Russia, are highlighted. The novelty of the scientific research lies in the fact that nospecial comparative study of the effectiveness of the legal activities of the military police of Russia and foreign countries in the light of modern events hasbeen conducted before.
